What is Atlasloot

AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game. It can access full item tooltips, show drop rates, allow items to be chat linked and to use the dressing room.

Integration in other mods

Atlasloot can be used as a stand-alone browser without a host mod or integrated in any map mod (works at the moment with Atlas and AlphaMap.)

Portability

Want Atlasloot Loot tables in your mod? Simply call the new function AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot().

Example: You want to see Lucifron's loot attached to you player portrait.... pFrame = {"TOPLEFT", "PlayerFrame", "BOTTOMRIGHT", 0, 0 } AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot(MCLucifron, "Lucifron", pFrame);

pFrame is an array holding how to display the loot. pFrame = { anchor point, frame to anchor to, relative anchor point, x offset, y offset }

AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot has the location of the data, text to be displayed as the boss name and the pFrame. AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot( dataID, Boss Name, pFrame)

Latest Beta

We do not officially release beta versions for Atlasloot. But you can update the mod daily through the WoW Ace SVN. Please note that we can not guarantee a bug-free and fully functional mod if you update from Ace.

Configuration Menu

Accessed by right-clicking the AtlasLoot minimap button or from the 'Options' button available on any AtlasLoot interface.

  • Show Minimap Button: Adds the Atlasloot icon to the Minimap.
  • Hide Atlasloot Panel: Removes the Atlasloot Panel from the main Atlas window.
  • Safe Chat Links: Can only link items without the (Item Unavailable) tag. Slight chance of disconnect if you have an item in your local cache the server has not seen for a while, but unlikely.
  • Enable all Chat Links (USE AT YOUR OWN RISK): Strong chance of disconnects, especially on items your server hasn't seen yet.
  • AutoQuery items on loot tables (Disconnection risk): Atlasloot will automaticly query the server for all items on any loot table opened. Chance of disconnects.
  • Supress text spam when querying items: This option disables the text, that is shown in your chat window, when you query the server for an item.
  • Enhanced Tooltips: If you have Lootlink or ItemSync installed, you can use tooltips generated by them instead of the default tooltip. I recommend the Lootlink tooltips, they handle data not in your local cache well. If an item has (no iteminfo) after it you can only get the tooltip via Lootlink or ItemSync. Be careful with ItemSync, it is unstable on items not seen on your server (just the way ItemSync is).
  • Show itemIDs at all times: Adds the itemID to the item tooltip.
  • Show Comparison Tooltips: If you have EquipCompare installed it will use it, if not it uses the default Blizzard stuff.
  • Notify me when a LoD Module is loaded: [something]
  • Load all loot modules at startup: Atlasloot contains several modules. With this option enabled all of the modules, that you have installed, are loaded at startup.
  • Make Loot Table Opaque: Makes the loot table background black so you can't see the map underneath.

Slash Commands

  • '/al' or '/atlasloot' by itself brings up the loot browser.
  • '/atlasloot options' brings up the options menu.
  • '/atlasloot reset' resets the last viewed loot table (fixes disconnects when opening AtlasLoot) and moves all draggable frames back to the middle of the screen.

Features

  • Drop Rates: Appended to the bottom of the tooltip of an item when moused over (if available).
  • Dressing Room: Control-click items to show them in the Dressing Room.
  • Price Preview: See the prices for token items like PvP rewards.
  • DKP systems: Simply edit the file 'dkp.lua' using data from localization.en.lua (for the item ID numbers) and your guild's fixed price values to allow for DKP values to be shown in the tooltip. The stubs of some Lucifron items have been included to get you started and show you how it's done.
  • Security: AtlasLoot flags as unsafe any items it detects that may cause you to be disconnected from the server if you try to link it in the chat window. To attempt to get the item information from the server, simply right-click on it. Note: you may get disconnected if the item is not available on your server.
  • Instance Loot: All instance loot from every Dungeon (Normal and Heroic) and Raid.
  • World Raid Bosses: Highlord Kruul, Azuregos, Dragons of the Nightmare, Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker.
  • Factions: WoW Factions and Burning Crusade factions rewards.
  • PvP: World PvP Items, Battleground Items including low level items, Honor rewards - Weapons and Armor, Arena Rewards - Weapons and Armor for all seasons.
  • Sets: ZG, AQ20, AQ40, Dugeon 1, 2 and 3, Tier 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Armor sets, Pre-60 sets, Crafted Sets, Crafted Epic Weapons, Tabards, Rare Mounts, Legendary Items, World BoE Epic Weapons, Heroic Token rewards.
  • World Events: Skettis, Abyssal Council, Ethereum Prison, etc.
  • Season Events: Feast of Winter Veil, Hallow's End, Brewfest, etc.
  • Wishlist: Alt-click on any item to add it to the wishlist, alt-clicking on an item in the wishlist deletes it. There are buttons added to the Atlas panel and the loot browser to open the wishlist.
  • Partial Searching: Allows searching the whole AtlasLoot database for an item where you only know part of the name.
  • Quicklooks NEW IN 4.06.00: Bind up to four loot tables to 'Quicklook' buttons, allowing you to jump to them with only one click.

To use the search function, just type as much of the name of the item as you can and click search. For example, if I type 'Potion' I will get multiple pages of results as every item in the database with 'potion' in its name is displayed. From here, just left-click on the item you were looking for to jump to the loot page it came from.

The small '->' button next to the search box allows you to toggle on and off which Load on Demand modules you want to search through. For example, you may only want to search PvP items, so you would untick all the LoD modules except the Sets and PvP module.

The Wishlist

The Wishlist is a much demanded feature that is finally available from version 4.05.00. The wishlist is accessed by clicking the 'Wishlist' button at the bottom of the Atlas frame or the loot browser. To add an item to the wishlist while browsing in AtlasLoot, simply Alt-Left Click on the item. To remove an item, click on the 'Wishlist' button to enter the wish list, and alt-click any item to remove it.

History

AtlasLoot was originally created by Pernicius as a plugin for Atlas and contained a handful of raid loot tables to browse. Unfortunately, Pernicius was unable to maintain the mod, so Daviesh took over and renamed it to AtlasLoot Enhanced to provide a distinction between the two versions. Since that time, AtlasLoot has grown to cover every loot table for every boss, every item set, PvP Items and items for every reputation faction.

Statistic

  1. Version 4.02.00 has reached 1 Million (!!!) downloads on Curse a few days ago. I don't think any addon has ever been able to get such an incredible download number with ONE single version.
  2. We are the overall #2 in lifetime downloads on curse with about 6.5 million. Record is hold by Titan Panel with 10 million downloads.
  3. Atlasloot is #3 on the "Favorite addons" list but we are catching up slowly with Titan panel. It may take a while since we actually reach them though. They are about 1400 points ahead.
  4. We are by far the most downloaded addon on curse every single day. Doesn't matter whether its patch day, new version released or just a normal day. I haven't seen another addon on #1 since months.
  5. When you google for "Atlasloot" you get about 169.000 results.
  6. The first version of Atlasloot was released on 04/29/2006.
  7. Since that day there have been 114 version released.
  8. Atlasloot contains 6 modules, 18 folders, 100 files and almost 60.000 lines of code.

Been having this issue with ALE and WowAceUploader.
Currently I have ALE ignored on it because WAU keeps uploading ALE to a version that doesn't work with Atlas and nothing will show in the game, even though there are no errors.

Before I ignored ALE, when I updated my mods I made sure that nothing that was with ALE was selected and updated my mods. However, there might be a issue with WAU cause even though ALE isn't selected it still updated it to this other version. Because of this, I have to uninstall ALE and then re download it.

Just trying to get this across, its been like this for several weeks now.

The WoWAceUpdater will no longer exist in a week or two anyway, solving your problem. BTW, the only way you could get an ALE that does not work with Atlas is if your version of Atlas is old.

Ok well this is becoming a very weird issue.

    Here’s the situation-

On the server I play on the loot table doesn’t work with atlas. I open atlas, the section for the loot table is all blank.

So I created a toon on a different server and tried all my add-ons one by one to make sure they are compatible with Atlas and AtlasLoot Enhanced. Well on the toon I created on a different server it works fine. So I switched back to my original server to try it and still no luck. It’s still blank.

So on the original server, I took my banker toon and deleted her info in the WTF->Accounts folder section. I deleted her whole folder. I log back in hoping this would clear up all the info I was having, and still no luck. I went ahead and did a search in my WOW folder for anything labeled Atlas and removed it all. It deleted the add-on and any info in the WTf folder. Still no luck. I’m out of ideas. What should I do??

I am having the exact same problem. However I have noticed, by turning down the transparency, that the text is still there but the black background is now in front and preventing the ability to click on the different links. I am going to try the WTF rename/delete and see what happens.

  • Aug. 28, 2008, 05:23AM (1 day, 15 hours ago)

This is REALLY important info, the first concrete hint at what it going on. Is the offending black background in font of the loot table or the list of Atlas bosses?

  • Aug. 28, 2008, 01:13AM (1 day, 19 hours ago)

Well I deleted the WTF folder and reworked my entire UI. Atlasloot was working properly but I logged on this morning and its broken again. sigh...

  • Aug. 29, 2008, 01:01PM (7 hours, 45 minutes ago)

Could you try something for me? Open in Notepad the file Interface\AddOns\Atlas\Atlas.toc, then delete the non-english files (ie: delete the lines between 'Locale\Atlas-enUS.lua' and 'AtlasMaps.lua').

I am just wondering if something strange is going on and a bug in a non-English file is deleting all the English text.

  • Aug. 27, 2008, 03:00AM (2 days, 17 hours ago)

It's not specific Atlas and AtlasLoot files that are causing the trouble. It's one of the Blizzard files in the WTF folder. My suggestion would be to re-name the WTF folder (so you have a backup) and see what happens. If no, try deleting Atlas and AtlasLoot completely, log in, log out, then re-install.

  • Aug. 27, 2008, 08:23PM (2 days ago)

Albright I tried what u suggested. I ended up deleting all the files that were labeled “Atlas”, logged in then out and then installed.

It fixed the problem, but only slightly. This is what occurred.

After doing said install, I logged into my lowbie and viola it worked. I was like woohoo. Then I logged out and logged into my hunter and it wasn’t working. I was getting the same issue as before. So now I’m just like wtf ok w/e. so I logged into my warrior and it works. And I’m like wtf, ok so I logged out of my warrior after about 2 hours and logged back into my hunter and low and behold its working.

So right now at this moment I’m calling a priest bc I’m thoroughly believing my computers possessed by evil WoW gods. LOL

    Heya,
Love this addon but lately I'm having trouble. With the last update I've not been able to get it working. All the Atlasloot_xxxx subfolders are where they should be in the Interface/Addons/Atlasloot folder. The "LibBabble-Boss-3.0" is in the Libs folder. Any help would be nice. I feel lost without this addon.

Do you still get the error with the alpha version of swatter disabled? Looks like it might be causing the trouble.

  • Aug. 25, 2008, 09:13PM (3 days, 23 hours ago)

I disabled Swatter altogether, used Improved Error Frames instead, and got:

Interface\AddOns\AtlasLoot\TableRegister\loottables.en.lua:9: Cannot find a library instance of "LibBabble-Faction-3.0".

In re-reading your post, the AtlasLoot_XXX folders shouldn't be in the AtlasLoot folder, they are separate addons in their own right (and you can just delete the ones you don't use to save memory).

If all the libraries are present in the Libs folder and have not been scrambled by your unzipping program (it happens!) then they should load no problem. If you are still having problems, these procedures usually work:

    1) Delete all AtlasLoot related files and folders. Log in, the log out. Reinstall.

    2) If (1) fails, rename your WTF folder to WTF_backup. If the mod works fine, then something was stuffed in your WTF folder. If no change, just rename WTF_bakcup back to WTF to restore your saved data.

    this wont DL!

Works for me. You are welcome to try any of the other addon sites or my own site at http://www.atlasloot.net

  • Aug. 21, 2008, 05:40AM (1 week, 1 day ago)

I figured out what's wrong on my first try, not to rub it in anyone's face or anything, just kidding. Ok so Atlasloot and Atlasloot_BCInstances, Atlasloot_OldInstances, Atlasloot_ ... etc. are all seperate addons! Take all those Atlasloot_ folders and put them in the addons folder, but leave the normal Atlasloot folder they came in in the addons folder too, with the stuff in it. I feel smarter then a fistful of nerds right now!

After figuring how to get these into WoW after many months of confusion and frustration, I'm extremely pleased with this. I now know which instances and factions are a complete waste of time for what character, and which have good things for me.

    Yay, :D
