PLEASE NOTE: the cast bars in 2.1 are only 100% accurate for your target and focus. For other enemies, they are only approximations based on combat log events.

What is it? - Simple enemy unit frames for Arena matches used for identifying and coordinating targets

Features:

With 2.0 most of the previous features are still present, and some new ones have been added.

Race icons added, some buff/debuff tracking, grow direction, more announcements, talent spec inspection removed, and more.

Proximo's new features include allowing for bindings on Mouse3,4,5. This is something long requested, and can be seen here in the menu.

- Unit tracking via mouse over, target, party targets, death messages, name plate updates, and optional syncing between all teammates

- Main Assist setting and syncing, shown by yellow outline on current Main Assist target.

- Optional New Enemy and Low Health announcements via Chat, Party, RaidWarning, SCT, or MSBT.

- Optional Focus setting via right click.

- Optional Mana bars.

- Optional Party Targets.

- Optional Talent Display

- Minor frame customizations: size, font, texture, header, etc...

For Spells, give the spell name just like you would in a macro. Example: Dispel, Dispel(Rank 1)

For Macros, use ; to break lines and *t to insert the targets name. Example: /target *t;/cast Dispel

Where did it come from? - After using ArenaMaster for a long time, I decided to make my own Arena based mod based some some ideas from myself and friends.

How do I use it? - Unzip Proximo into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Type /prox test to see a test frame when not in arena. Alt+left click header to move. Right click header for options.

What happens if an enemy is first seen after combat starts? - They will still be shown and synced, however you will not be able to target them by clicking on their bar. This will be designated with **'s around their name (ex. ** Grayhoof ** ).

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

I've downloaded the latest Proximo, version 21. Is it ever going to be possible again to add the Talent spread display feature again? This was a very effective tool in arenas

a little bit too effective. you know, it was even so effective by those "users" making use of this feature, that blizzard removed it. that's why proximo (and any other arena frames addon) can't show it to you anymore.

besides, still a very good addon ;)

Aye, it was pretty OP (imo). However, now that we can see beneficial buffs, just remember what class specs have what abilities, for example, Leader of the Pack = Feral Druid, Trueshot Aura = MM Hunter, etc.

I'm using a Logitech MX1000 mouse with SetPoint. I can't figure out a way to bind to Mouse3, 4, or 5. I'd like to set Mouse 3 to Purge. Does anyone know a way to bind to Mouse3 using this mouse?

Or is there a chance you could add in an option for Shift/Ctrl + Left/Right click to have spell assignments?

I'm using that mouse too.
1st: Use Setpoint to assgin those keys to F7~F12 or any other keys which you couldn't easily reach .
2nd: assign that in WOW.

BTW: the "mouse 3" might be called "autoscroll" in Setpoint menu.

Not sure if anyone else is having trouble or not, but my team and i have had some really poor results as of late (last couple of weeks). Problems vary from proximo showing people/classes that arent even in the arena. Enemies health jumping from 100% to 0% (back and forth). Enemies listed going grey as if they are stealth and become untargettable using the proximo window. The game has warned me that the addon is creating a lot of errors as well (not sure what they are exactly)

It seems like if I reboot my game, I get one good arena in where it acts as it should. By the second arena game it starts to trip-out a bit. The more games you play without rebooting the worse things get.

BTW, I have downloaded the 2.0 version (even removed it and readded it a couple of times), as well as deleted the saved variables for this mod. It doesnt seem to be helping me. Any suggestions are welcome for sure

Guys i was wondering if it is possible to use proximo as a way of an addon such as when im playing with my druid in 2v2 it tells me who is Being cycloned. Do you know what i mean - like on my screen as a raid message or something...<Target> is cycloned or <Name> is cycloned or rooted etc. is this even possible if not can someone tell me of an add that can make this possible. Please ive been searching for an addon like this for ages now - my partner has no mic so i need something to tell me exactly when hes cycloning someone... Thanks guys.

is there any posibility in adding cooldowns in this..?
for example if any person of opponent team casts something with CD bigger than lets say 5 seconds then a timer with spell name and time left until cooldowns ending, will appear...
there are addons like nature enemy cast bar or antagonist which show it but it shows u only ur targets cooldowns and it doesnt show cooldowns if the spell has been cast on ur party member

if you edit the code you might be able to get it working again... in options.lua you can seach for the section of the code that deals with enabling that feature. there is a "disable=true" line, if you change from true to false and reload the games the option isn't gray anymore, and the test window shows talents. i haven't tried it in an arena yet though...might get d/ced or it might just not work in there...or it will work... who knows!

No, it won't work, because Blizzard disabled talent inspection against PVP targets, which includes arenas.
